This in-pocket solution will make identifying the right part for a repair and all related technical information fast and easy. REPXPERT is Schaeffler’s service brand in the Automotive Aftermarket. Its various services for garage professionals include an online portal, www.repxpert.com.au, where they can find product and technical information for a fast and professional repair. The new REPXPERT App shifts the service offer to a new level and makes key REPXPERT features available anywhere anytime. The app is an effective tool for identifying the right part and offering related technical information.

Workshops get TecDoc access with one click
Once the user opens the REPXPERT app, there is a well-arranged home screen with a basic menu. The icons represent the key features, such as a search based on vehicles. This gives the user access to the Schaeffler parts catalogue and also full (after registering) free access to TecDoc featuring all manufacturers in the Independent Automotive Aftermarket. The mechanic can easily identify the right part they need to replace by using the Vehicle Search to find the right make and model, or by entering the Engine Code or VIN number (TecDoc VIN listings are continually being added to). After the search is done, an advanced filtering based by Schaeffler brands or by a product group is possible.
REPXPERT introduces barcode scanning
When the right car part is identified, it’s time for two more useful REPXPERT App features: Barcode Scanner and Parts Search section. Part Search option is great for cross-referencing and finding potential substitutes from other manufacturers. The only detail a user needs is an OE number, part number or barcode of a product.
The App Barcode scanner offers a great alternative. Once a Schaeffler (or any other) product arrives the mechanic can check it on the spot by scanning the barcode – if it’s the part he ordered, if the part is compatible or check the service information related to the product.

If the mechanic needs specific fitting data, such as dual mass flywheel values, CheckPoint is the icon to click on. It’s a must-have for anyone repairing clutches or dual mass flywheels.
The REPXPERT App will keep evolving to offer more benefits in the future. It can be downloaded for free from iOS or Google Play App stores. To make the REPXPERT App fully operational the user is required to register (or log in with their current REPXPERT portal credentials). TecDoc search is available only to logged in users. It contains the catalogue database for the Australian car parc, and new VIN listings are continually added.
