It was a change of scenery for hsy Racing over the weekend at Sandown for the Shannons Nationals.
Ash Samadi was a late withdrawal due to ongoing complications associated with his accident in the Bathurst 12 Hour back in February.
Therefore it was Marc Cini and his Audi R8 GT3 LMS that hit the track over the weekend to take on the latest round of the Australian GT championship.
In what was Marc’s first race in the series in 2018, it didn’t take long for him to find his groove behind the wheel. After a 14th under tough circumstances on Saturday, Marc was able to rebound to record finishes of 12th and 8th on Sunday.
A few hsy customers attended the racing Saturday and had the opportunity to tour the Audi Sport Customer Racing pits and take in the action. And although the normal hsy Racing car was not on the track, it was given display duties in the paddock, proving to be a popular attraction throughout the weekend.
The next round of the Australian GT series and your next opportunity to see it on the track is at Phillip Island on the first weekend of June!
