HSY Racing Prepares for huge Australian Grand Prix Weekend

HSY Racing will hit the streets of Melbourne this weekend for the first round of the 2018 Australian GT Championship. Ash Samadi, who was injured at the Bathurst 12 Hour last month, will be back in the seat of the Audi R8 GT3 LMS this weekend after missing the Adelaide round of the Audi R8 LMS cup.

The Australian GT category will be supporting the Australian Formula 1 Grand Prix at Albert Park, the event arguably the biggest on the Australian Motorsports calendar, with almost 300,000 spectators passing through the gates at last year’s event.

The GT cars will hit the track for two qualifying sessions and four races throughout the four day weekend! This format is unique for the category and places a strong emphasis on qualifying considering that the Albert Park circuit has historically been difficult to make passes.

Keep your eyes out for the new eye catching livery that the team will be launching over the weekend, which will be used throughout the rest of the season!

If you’re Melbourne based, make your way down to Albert Park over the 4 days and see our the HSY Racing Audi in action!

Due to the nature of Formula 1 TV scheduling, we are unable to guarantee what time the GT category will be shown on Free to Air and Foxtel. See the below track schedule and refer to your local guides for more detailed information on TV scheduling throughout the weekend. (All times are in AEDT)
